Three Boys and a Nena

To be outside exploring with my grandsons with my camera on hand is pure pleasure for me.
In March while visting our family in Oklahoma, my three grandsons and I set out one morning for an adventure.
I love trailing behind them, observing and capturing moments.
It was a gorgeous spring day...everything seemed alive with color, smells and sounds.
We did a lot of walking....
Enjoyed the view from some hay bails...
Discovered some amazing treasures in the cow pasture...
Seriously-how cool are cow's teeth and cow bones?
And rolly pollys in the bones? We were in little boy heaven!
We could've spent hours right here with those bones and rolly pollys.
But alas, we had to move on--much to someone's displeasure.
I got the classic pouty face...don't you just love it?
We saw flowers...
 Huge "stickers"...
Lots and lots of fascinating bones...
We (yes, me too) pretended to be pirates, soliders and explorers.
Do you know that cow ribs make PERFECT swords?
I'm not sure if we found the cows more interesting or if the cows found us more interesting.

 We found feathers....
We discovered mushrooms growing in the cow poop (little boys' word).
 Beautiful spring flowers...
We hiked...
 We forged streams...
We played in the yucky cow water...
We climbed trees and fell down bankings (giving this Nena a terrible fright!).

Good thing we had Spider Man boots along. Aren't these great?--I think I'd like a pair.
We talked and laughed and let our imaginations soar.
We came away abit tired, and very hunger and thirsty; we had some bruises and scraps and sunburn.
My favorite shoes developed a hole in the toes.
But mostly we came away with some great memories... these three little boys and their Nena.
