Old San Juan

Before heading to the Dominican Republic we spent the night in San Juan. Old San Juan is a favorite area for us, and we keep going back to the same restaurant. Sooner or later we are going to have to branch out and try some other places, but for now here's our favorite:
Caficultura at 401 San Francisco Viejo

I love their chandler and this time finally figured out how to get a good pic of it.

Their food is wonderful!
Eggs

French toast with pineapple sauce

Grilled stuffed mushroom

Hot Chocolate
Art
Avocado & Tuna salad with toastadoes
Just to clarify-the food pictures are from three or four visits.

Bokeh Water and Wine
Bokeh describes the appearance, or "feel," of out-of-focus areas in photography. Bokeh is not how far something is out-of-focus; it is the character of whatever blur is there.

I like how they serve water in the reused wine bottles. They have some really pretty ones.
We do this at home now. I like using glass to serve ice cold water in instead of plastic pitchers.

Maybe next time we'll go next door to the Cafe Berlin. Isn't their patio area a neat idea? Its cozy and inviting.
There's so much to see in the old section of San Juan. I love the doors, balconies and windows, the shops and grocery stores as well as the old fortress and city walls.
