Yesterday this little girl captured my attention.
At some point there will be a "last time" that she'll sit upon her daddy's lap. It will sneak up on them both, and they will not even know it will be the "last time." Most likely in the years to come neither one will be able to remember the "last time." It will just happen quietly and unmarked.
Days slip into weeks and weeks into years. Our children grow and we, for the most part, are unaware of the changes until they have passed.
I cannot remember the "last time" any of my sons sat on my lap.
How is it that we can cross such a significant point and not even be aware of it?
