The Change & Scattered Sunflowers

My old quilting space in the barn is no more. But the exercise area is being used daily by four of us on the property. It was a good change for everyone. Flexibility is a good thing even for those of us who don't thrive on change. :-)
I love having my sewing right in the middle of everything here. With just the two of us at home now, having my sewing in the unused part of the big open living room works out very well. I have finished off two quilts this week and have a third one that just needs the binding cut, sewed on and whipped stitched. Today I sent off a top and backing to be machine quilted. It has been a good week so far.

A local quilt shop is going out of business (very sad), but the sale of 40% was great for my backing stash. Notice all the flannel baby material. Although it could be a long time before we get another grandchild, it doesn't hurt to be prepared.

I finished off ddil #3's quilt, Scattered Sunflowers, last night and was able to give it to her tonight. She and our ds leave for college in PA on Sunday.
