Happy, Happy News!

How I've missed you all! I'm still alive and kicking...actually "spinning" is a better word. Tracey, thanks for your note and your patience! Soon I'll be back full swing.

Nationals was GREAT! It ended on March 17th then my dh and I left home on the 20th.

We flew to San Diego and boarded the Ryndam, a Holland American ship, for a 10 day cruise to the Mexican Riveria. We really didn't care where we went; we just wanted to be on a ship somewhere so that cell phones and e-mails couldn't bother us. The cruise was wonderfully perfect, and we arrived home yesterday well rested and relaxed.

Family news since the beginning of March:

Son #4 announced his Dec. 18th marriage (elopement while home on leave); son #3 engaged, son #2 engaged on April 3rd. Son #4's reception...planned for June 15th;which means that he should be home before that date!! Son #2 planning a June 13th wedding; Son #3 also planning a summer wedding. I'm just rotfl!! Could we have THREE weddings in one week??? I love all their girls and am so thankful for each one!

Then TODAY grandson #2 made his wonderful appearance! Rob (son #1) and Ashley are so excited to have two sons now!

Josiah Daniel Flatt was born at 1:13 PM today, April 5th. He weighed in at 7 lb 6 oz and is 21 inches long. We had a special time with the family both in person and through webcam as we beamed pictures to Afghanistan, Arizona, Missouri and Illinois.

Josiah and me sharing a special moment after his birth.

Tomorrow I leave town in order to meet my mom and sister in Houston on Saturday. The three of us leave on a cruise on Sunday, April 8th. I'm so looking forward to being with my sister and mom, yet I'll miss my little grandsons.

Quilting: my projects remain patient....I did get to a quilt shop in Temecula, CA. It was such a treat to walk around the fabrics and quilts! My fingers were very itchy to get quilting! Soon...
