Yesterday was a good but short quilting day. This is one of the four strips of blocks. Hour 8 is in the works.
Through the reading of the book, "Creating Your Perfect Quilting Space" I've made some minor adjustments to my present sewing area as I continue to work on the barn area.
Here is my sewing space now:
I really like the secondary cutting and pressing stations right at my elbows. It saves me so many steps.
This afternoon a hot air balloon flew over our property. Our dogs had a cow. It was so funny to see their reactions....whineing, barking, running all over the place. Does anyone know why they'd react this way?
Here is an outside view of the end of our barn (the door goes into the office) with son #4's first pick-up truck which we like having to use around the property. The barn is close to our house and the space is very comfortable although a complete mess right now as I work on completely reorganizing it.
This afternoon I watched "Shadowlands" the story about C.S. Lewis. What an incredible story. Since I love C.S. Lewis' writings it was interesting to peek into what a portion of his life might have been like. The quote, "The pain now is part of the happiness then. That's the deal." rings so true. "Why love, if losing hurts so much? I have no answers anymore only the life I've lived. Twice in that life I've been given the choice as a boy and as a man. The boy chose safety; the man chose suffering. The pain now is part of the happiness then. That's the deal."
