Tropical storms Danny and Erika have been stirring up the sea. I love it!
Yesterday I went for a late morning beach walk. Normally I stay off the beach at noon, but we had a thick cloud cover and rain, plus the tide was going out and that is always a good time to look for treasures.
The sand dollars were nestled in the sand.
Often all that shows is a tiny speck of white.
Beautiful rain falling out at sea. It moved in fast and drenched me.
Lots of fresh seaweed covered the beach.
Yesterday I found over forty keepers.
This area in front of the cemetery is where I find most of the sand dollars.
The white ones are dead and are the keepers. The dark, hairy one might still be alive and those get put back in the surf.
